The app shows the duration of the legal warranty of good working order required by Québec’s Consumer Protection Act next to product prices on a Shopify store.
When a merchant installs the app, we store only what the app needs to work:
The app does not collect, store or process any personal information about the store's customers. It does not use cookies or tracking on the storefront.
The information is used only to show the warranty period on the merchant's store and to save the warranty category on products the merchant selects. When the merchant turns on automatic checks, the title, type and tags of new products are read to suggest a category. It is not sold or shared with third parties.
Settings and the access token are stored on Cloudflare Workers KV. The warranty category and duration are stored as metafields on the merchant's own Shopify products.
When the app is uninstalled, the stored access token and settings are deleted. We also respond to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks for customer data requests, customer data erasure and shop data erasure.
